Ballarat Electrician & Air Conditioning Made Simple
Licensed, insured, and local. Buggzy's is a family-run Ballarat electrician delivering reliable residential, commercial and split system air conditioning work across Ballarat and surrounds with upfront pricing and a satisfaction guarantee.
I would like to recommend the services of Buggzy's Electrical. From the walk around, initial quote and then the adjustments we wanted. Buggzy's Electrical were attentive and accommodating. When it came to the application of the work, their attention to detail and even their initiative to touches that were not considered were thoughtful and appreciated. I have also never experienced a trade that left the home in as clean and tidy a condition as when they arrived. A month after the work had been completed, everything is working correctly and without problems.

We have had a really positive experience dealing with this company. Their responses have been timely, friendly and professional….. giving me faith that the job would be done in an orderly manner. They also upgraded my brother's electrical board with a safety switch which I was so pleased they could do at the same time. Many thanks to the team!

Highly recommended. The team installed a split system in our home. Communication was easy from a quotation to installation. Matt was very professional, on time and very efficient. Also, Sahron from admin arranged everything on time and ensured that the job could be done smoothly.

Did a great job installing my split system 8.5kw. The service was friendly and they worked hard to get it done in a very short timeframe as requested as it was an urgent job to replacing an existing faulty system on a very cold day. The coordinator was very helpful and tried very hard to schedule my job in on a very short notice. Very happy with them.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from Ballarat homeowners. Don't see yours? Give us a call.
Our standard call-out starts from $88 + GST, which covers getting a licensed electrician to your door and diagnosing the job. Bigger jobs like switchboard upgrades (from $980 + GST) or EV charger installs (from $880 + GST) are quoted upfront, so you know the price before we start.
Yes. Buggzy's is a Ballarat-based registered electrical contractor (REC 28054) with ARCtick refrigerant handling (AU52647), and we're members of Master Electricians Australia and NECA. Every job comes with a Certificate of Electrical Safety.
A standard 2.5kW split system starts from $1,499 + GST supplied and installed (back-to-back install). Larger units, longer pipe runs or tricky wall types cost more, so we give you a free, no-obligation quote before any work begins. Zip Finance is available to spread the cost.
A safety switch trips when it detects a fault in one of your appliances or circuits. Common causes include a faulty appliance, moisture in an outdoor power point, or a wiring issue. Our electricians can find the fault quickly and safely don't keep resetting it and ignoring the problem.
Yes in Victoria, a Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) is a legal requirement for all prescribed electrical work. We issue one for every job we complete. It's your proof that the work was done safely and correctly by a licensed contractor. Keep it safe you'll need it if you sell your home.
Zip lets you pay for your job over time instead of all at once. You apply through Zip's simple online process, and once approved, we complete the work while you pay Zip back in weekly, fortnightly, or monthly instalments. Ask us about Zip when booking.
